This week, TWQ (The Weekend Question) asks about surprises.
What big surprises have you ever had that almost left you speechless. Tell us about them.
My answers are:
1: Many years ago, for my birthday, my parents had arrived a kissogram girl to come to the office. They arranged it with my boss. At the time, while I was working, unkown to me, the girl crept across the office in her bra, pants and stockings. Everyone had their camera ready when she surprised me.
2: This week, one of the top managers in the company surprised me by telling me that he found that I wrote this Journal by seeing me on another site!
Now it's over to you....

Hello, Michele sent me.
I honestly can't think of any big surprises ever, let alone ones that leave me speechless.
Oh, wait. There is that one where my wife told me we were pregnant.
Hmmm....many surprises, but not much leaves me speechless. Maybe the one where my daughter told us she was taking us to Europe? Or when my husband had a stroke?
Michele says hi.
One time Supergirl jumped out of a Birthday cake atme, Thougfht I was Nightwing the girl has problems.
The time Loki proposed to me. That was a complete shocker. :) Left me speechless and crying. In a good way, of course. ;)

cant say anything has left me speechless...
mayb brought me to tears
I don't like it when people find my blog. I kind of like separating reality and blogality.
surprises? geez, i don't know. i can't really remember any. is that lame? their must have been surprised but i cannot think of any!
michele sent me to be absolutely lame ;)
My husband was totally, totally speechless when our daughter was born. He'd been at the birth of one of our sons so knew what to expect. I think she was his darling from that second - it was total love at first sight.
Stopping by to say "Hi" to Jean!
Last year a friend got a certain DJ to stick his signature on a picture for Christmas for me. That was a surprise.
Well, one of my former bosses professed romantic feelings for me. That was pretty shocking at the time.
...and...there have been other surprises that were more traumatic, but - come to think of it - I haven't had too many pleasant surprises. What's wrong with this picture!! ;)
When my wife (to be) said that we were pregnant.
My first reply was "Are you sure it's ours?"
This one stumped me for a few minutes. Then I remembered when I first learned I was pregnant for my first child. I had quite honestly decided that I wasn't ever going to be a parent, and the fact that I was pregnant that the postive pregnancy test not only stunned me....I was sure it was a mistake!
And I answered this before reading the comment above me, really I did!
It looks like pregnancy is always one of the biggest surprises.
Jon, I like your comment!
I've never really had any big surprises. I do remember being surprised and chuffed to bits when I was 4 years old and I got the bike I wnated for my birthday. I really can't think of anything else!
Michele sent me over to say hi.
When MB sent me flowers for my birthday the year I was away with friends.
Being recommended for a bonus last year and actually being awarded a bonus plus (1/3 as much again).
I am very easily surprised - low confidence does that....

Michele sent me to check out TWQ!
finding out that my former praise and worship leader is a horn dog. that one still has my head hurting.
learning that my brother had wrecked his milk truck.
Hmm...all I can think of are bad things....I'm ready for some good surprises...any time now...

Last year, in a local market, I met the younger sister of a school friend of mine. I did not recognise here but she came and asked me if I was Gautami and did I remember Rina? I had been searching for Rina for a long time. It was a huge pleasure to find out about my friend Rina via her sister Mina! I had lost touch with them for the past 22 years!
Glad Michele sent me here to recollect that.
Michele sent me back to say I just remembered being very surprised when I was chosen for the National Honor Society in high school!
when at graduation every orientation (marketing, logistics, finance...) gave a prize to the student with the highest score - my orientation (who gave out the prize at the end) decided not to award the student with the highest score but with the potential of a promising career: go figure I got that... which was odd because I failed my first year and all...
Not quite 18 months ago, I auditioned for a local improv troupe. Came home, and basically told my husband and friends, "Well, I completely sucked. I had fun, but I'm pretty sure I didn't make it."
And then went to bed.
One more hour would have seen me finding out that night what I didn't find out til morning:
I made it.
18 months later, I'm on a hiatus from the troupe because my creative energies are being pulled in other directions, and I needed a break.
But still.
I made it.
Michele sent me.
Nothing leaves me speechless! Hee hee!
Never had a surprise that was that surprising. :(
I think we all get surprised a little, evejn though we don't realise it!
Finding out my blog was being archived by The British Library - and meeting so many nice people who blog.
