TWQ: Superheroes

With superhero movies always coming out, TWQ (The Weekend Question) this week looks at the comic book genre.

Which superhero(es) did you always like? What name would you choose if you were a superhero, and what powers would you have?

My answers are:

I always liked the DC Comics, so Superman & Batman were my favourites. Around 1968-1974, there were lots of titles that featured them, and I bought every one of them.

My superhero would be The Night Stalker. In an all-black outfit and cape, he would root out wrongdoers. I would have the telepathic ability to sense evil and have telekinetic energy to move people against a wall if they attacked or keep them still

Now it's over to you...

Your favorites were also some of mine, Jean-Luc, although I preferred to read comics like Archie and Betty (I can't remember the exact name).
If I were a superhero, I'd prefer to be invisible at will, so I could sneak up on criminals unaware of my presence and then be visible, just as I confined them to await police.

I haven't read that many action hero comics, only Batman. (Except if you count Calvin&Hobbes, then I have to say Stupendous Man - but that doesn't count really.)

I'd be Confusia Girl. It sounds right, and my power'd be babbling nonesense till they let me do what ever I want to do to save the world.

I liked Bunty and then went on t Jackie, neither are still around now, and not the type of action mags you mentioned. I was very much into girlie mags.

Have a nice weekend, captain.

One of my favorites was always Spiderman because of his sense of humor and sarcasm. Great reason to like a superhero, isn't it?

I don't know what I would call myself but I would love to be able to fly so that I could get to places quickly in order to make quick saves but I guess I'd also need some superhuman strength while I was at it in order to subdue the evil-doers.

Whoever I was I would definitely need a cape and if I could look like Storm from X-Men that would be even better!

Oh my! Well, My favorites were your favorites, too...SUOERMAN & BATMAN...I think I liked BATMAN just a little bit more....How I wish I still had my great great Comic Book Collection, today....it would be worth a fortune! I believe I had the first of both these wonderful hereo's. You know who else I liked was "Smilen' Jacvk" That was so beautifully drawn.....there was one character that was so handsome they couldn't show his whole face...lol...WONDERFUL!

I think I would like to be a Heroine/Hero who could disguise themselvers in many ways...including being invisible whenever the spirit moved....And I would get rid of all Evildoers...with the Wave od my Magic Wand! I would be known as Wanda The Wand Lady.

I'd have to say batgirl. Only because she gets to hang with batman, who, well is hot and battish.

I don't know if he actually counts as a super hero but growing up in the UK in the 70's I was not exposed to a lot of USA type superheros so my favoutrite is Doctor Who.

If I were a superhero I'd be Goth-girl :-). I don'tthink I have to explain that much.

I would never miss a Superman or Batman comic when I was a kid. The others were an occasional thing. I would be Supergirl if I were a hero. I even took two different online tests and came up Supergirl both times!

Well, I didn't read many comics except Archie...but I loved watching Wonder Woman. Let's see, I'm into fairies so maybe my name would be The Pixie Avenger. LOL...Fighting evil doers one jokster at a time.

I want to be Supergirl! I would love to fly all over the world to visit friends. I would take care of the bad guys. Yes, I would. They deserve a good beating.

Supergirl looks like she is popular. Will there be a tussle between Miss C and ECL for the title?

Linda, Storm is certainly the best looking super-heroine with that cape of hers.

Goth-Girl, The Pixie Avenger, Confusia Girl & Wanda the Wand Lady are super names.

Rhett Butler is action hero enough for me (excuse me whilst I go weak a the knees) and then Dick Dudgeon in the 'The Devil's Disciple'.
There that's brightened my Sunday.
Michele says hi!

I was always a big fan of Batman and the Flash.

If I could be a super hero I would call myself Timeshift and be able to stop, slow down or speed up the passage of time.

Hmmm There was a show in the late 70's or early 80's here in the US called The Greatest American Hero, he's one of my favorite superheroes..and the then there was a film with Ben Stiller with him and his friends as super heroes. They win for me.

If I would be a super hero I would be SnarkyGirl....I think my powers would be obvious :) wink wink :)

I didn't read comic books, but I used to watch the Super Friends tv show on Saturday mornings on ABC if that counts. I always liked Superman and Wonder Woman.

If I were a superhero...hmmm... I think I'd be Invisible Girl. I'd be able to fly (nod to Superman here) and bad guys couldn't see me coming, and my power would be to stay invisible so I could kick their butts and they'd never have a chance.

I don't really know the super heroes thing, but I did like the lady who was on the Munsters.

It was a black and white american TV progam that was shown here in the UK in the 60s. I was very small :)

Oh and the lady from the Adams family, again black and white and similar era.

In 2nd grade Superman the Movie came out and I was hooked. I loved all the DC characters. After ii got a little older, I drifted away from DC towards GIJoe, X Men, and other Marvel titles. I still like all these characters but I don't really follow any because I don't read them anymore.

Were I a hero, I would be Jon the Intergalactic Gladiator, armed with two blaster pistols and a quick wit, I would save the helpless from the evils of the galaxy.

Ok, so I don't make a very good Super Hero, I don't have a clue.

But I DID want to stop by and say hi!
