TWQ: Spending the Weekend

The Weekend Question (TWQ) this week is actually about the weekend:

How do you like to spend your weekend? What sort of pursuits do you do on those days?

Here's my answer:

It's always a chance for me to catch up on my computer work. I can write blog scripts and visit those in my bloglist and meet new people. Sadly, I don't have time to do this as much in the week.

Besides this, when a good movie comes on, the weekend is the time to visit the cinema. Saw 2 will be released later this week!

Birmingham (England) is a great place for shopping; as Christmas draws near, the weekend is also a time for going there.

As well as the above, it's a great chance to relax from the routine of the office.

Now it's over to you...

Relaxing. That may include going for a ride, sitting in the hammock, going for walks or just watching television. The week is generally stressful so I live for the weekend to veg.

Saw 1 was good, I like movies that make me jump, lol. I'm hoping saw 2 will be as good.

I came here thru micheles site :)

It is time to relax but also to do all what I couldn't do during the week. This will be a very quiet weekend as the husband hurt himself and has a swollen foot and backache. No walks, no outing this weekend :( But blog visits! :)

sleeping in is great when the weekend rolls around... chance to have a decent breakfast with my family instead of rushed ones in the morning... we usually cuddle on the couch, catch up with our favorite shows... i'm a homebody, really, so i only go out to malls when i'm really bored.

Happy Weekend.

I do the same thing... I use the time to relax and catch up on my blogroll... and throw in the occasional movie or 2. Work has gotten very stressful lately so weekends are me time!

Hi from Michele!

It depends: if I have to do and deliver flowers for a wedding, I don't have much time to do anything else but that. On a weekend when I don't have to work I blog a lot, go to the health club, shop and maybe a movie.

The weekend is the time to do all those chores I don't have time for during the week. That, and watching sports on TV. Guess which of those activities gets my wife's goat?

What I'd like to do and what I end up doing are sometimes two different things!

Generally I sleep in until 8:30-9 and then head off to church for our Saturday morning Kids prayer meeting [Boot Camp]. Sometimes i'll get up early enough to go to the library first to check out my email. After Boot Camp - sometimes I have to work at the library like today. If I don't have to wrk, I can end up anywhere from here to my bestest friends. Sometimes laundry and housework. Depends. In the evening we have prayer meeting for the big people!

Sundays - Sundya school then church. Afternoons mainly at my bestest friends, unles something is going on. Lately I've had to work Saunday evenings, but this is the last month I'll have to do that. Sometimes church in the evenings.

Mainly I hang with my friends...sometimes we just goof off...sometimes I help with my bestest friend's painting and redecorating. lots of fun that.

I love just taking it easy with my family. We sleep in on Saturday and then relax on the couch together if we have nothing on our to-do list. Sometimes we will catch a movie or go and rent a movie. I love weekends!

I try to relax, there almost always seems to be something to do, yardwork, grocery shopping or whatnot. I also try to do some blog writing or work on my computer.

Currently, we're watching Cinderella, Kier'a a big fan.

Finally, we go hashing every other weekend or so. Hashing is a drinking club with a running problem, we have many friends who participate in this.

Nothing. "I did nothing. I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I thought it could be."

Last night, I went to a concert at Disney Hall.

Today, I stayed home as I am not feeling well, and need to take care of business at this end.

I am usually so busy that I come home and pass out at night. On my good weekends, I am hanging out either with my husband and daughter having good clean fun, or out with my friends (and Princess is with my parents) having drunkenly good fun.

Here from Michelle's.

My weekends are not unlike my week usually, that's a downside to being a stay-ay-home-mom, you miss the thrill of the weekend.

I like to spend my weekends haning out with my friends. Going to the pub, watching a band, maybe going dancing or having a BBQ... Unfortunately I usually spend at least one day of my weekend working.

:o) Michele sent me today.

I'd need to be in one of your space cruisers to visit most of my local metropolitan shopping malls during the weekend from this time to end of 2005.

Without great tactical planning, they are already full of cars by around 10:00. Beam me in.

reading, movies, blogging, sightseeing.

However, our weekends usually revolve around marching band. Busy, busy.

I would love to spend my weekends taking pictures but real life usually gets in the way so it's errand-running and spending time with our extended family.

truthfully, as long as I am with Brian and the girls, it's a great weekend :)

I usually attend church on Sunday mornings.
Saturdays are for anything that I didn't get done during the week.

Weekends definately seem to be a time for spending with our loved ones, although relaxation is the thing to look forward to. Natasha's answer just about says it all!
