TWQ: Google Namesakes

TWQ (The Weekend Question) asks you to to look and find out more about people who have your name.

Have you tried to find out if there are any other people with your name and what they do? Use the Google link (below), type in your name and list what they do.

Google

My answers are:

* The Group Financing Director of a Consulting Firm.

* A Conservative political Education supremo whose wife left him and who pleaded guilty to drunken driving, and a member of the Freemasons secret society.

* A tax specialist on the council.

* An Alfa Romeo racing driver.

* The estates manager of a hospital building.

Now it's over to you....

I have done this, Jean-Luc; one of them works at a medical center in Chicago and the other lives in Florida and is married to a man known for his barbecue. That's all I ever found, but I do wonder about them!

I've googled myself before and there's an israeli artist who shares my name but otherwise I'm my own person. Damn my creative parents!

Michele sent me today!

Oh dear..there's someone in some scientific position and another at Dartmouth College of Nursing.

Wow.

Suddenly I feel like a slacker.

I guess my name is unusual, b/c most of what Google pulled up referenced me. I only got two hits for people who weren't me.

One is a boy of 15 who posted on some message board, and the other is someone who won a prize at a county fair in Wisconsin for his/her rabbits.

I'm feeling a little more accomplished than either of those two, so I guess that's good! LOL

The most well-known connection my name has to anything, is that I share my name with the guy who provides the voice of Scooter in a couple of Muppet movies!

I share Yaeli's pain: with a name as unique as mine, a Google search inevitably returns hits that are mine and only mine.

Interestingly, I've had my name misspelled by journalists as Carmi Levi. When I google the misspelling, I find an analyst with a research firm in Israel - ironic given that I'm an analyst with a research firm in Canada.

Small world.

There are 2 other ladies in my small town with my same name. One is a teacher, but not sure about the other one. It gets crazy at the doctor office, lol!

Also, there's a lady in Texas w/my same name that teaches dogs to dance, lol!

There's not a lot of people with my name.

I have one who was a Mitsui USA scholarship winner who has got her BBA Management at a university in Sweden.

There is one who is the chairperson of the Shiner, TX Little League Baseball Inc. (Funny thing about her, we were in the same hospital, on the same day giving birth and I found out b/c when I went to register with the administrator they read me the wrong social security number and address and they informed me of the unusualness of the situation)

One is a senior nursing student

That's it, other than a couple of young students.

Someone in Australia has, not my same name, but the same domain name, but in the Au TLD, and she runs a model agency - I get her email a lot, from people who forget to tack on the .au

A search for my actual name yields mostly links referring to ME, but there are a couple others - a teacher very involved in children's literature and a woman on Long Island who does a lot of charity work with her local Jewish community center.

An interesting exercise :)

My name is far too common for any truly interesting results. But my domain name is often used in reference to the library in Alexandria (I thought I'd made up the word, really.)

Gosh, there are so many of you, from a racing driver to a tax consultant, how interesting.

As you know, there is one other Elle Seymour in California who is a real estate agent, I'm sure she will track me down one day from my post.

Well apart from *ahem* me,

there is a radio 3 presenter

a dog trainer

a reflexologist

and someone with a doctorate in something that is not that clear!

I, apparently, stand alone which didn't surprise me in the least. I have one of those unique last names that only relatives are in possession of and I'm the only Linda in the group so that would be that!

Still - it's always fun to Goggle one's self! ;-)

So, this is more successful with my maiden name, but apparently there is a girl with my exact name living in Hawaii, where I was born who looks exactly like me.

Seriously. It was freaky!

There's no one with my real name and married name. I guess it's really really rare.

Jean-Luc Picard said...

David, I used my real name in this, btw; there is only one Jean-Luc Picard.

Pink Ginger, the racing driver was interesting, but the failed education supremo whose wife left him was the funniest.

You have some great namesakes there!

Not surprisingly ('cos I knew!) I have the same name as a very popular road in London, so all the Google entries are for that road and no people.......pretty select area, though - £300K for a one-bedroom studio flat......[gulp]

But then I also have the same name as the oldest in-use chapel in the country - so it's all cool....

Michele sent me to see you this morning, Jean-Luc.
