I work off a laptop and use a small typing table to the side of my desk. There is a phone on the table and a directory, and a wall in front of me with plaques and certificates...(why don't I move those and put pictures here?)

Well, I have a laptop that I basically just set in my ...lap! I'm in my living room, though, sitting on my couch, usually with the tv going in the background, and a coffee table in front of me.
Have laptop, will travel. Though I'm usually on the sofa, so it's mug of tea or coffee, foot stool, books, knitting, on and at least one cat!
What you don't use any of those on a computer?
A cat is an essential computer tool as far as my cats are concerned!

5.) A cool laptop stand that allows air to flow around my PC!
Bills and assorted paperwork.

Exciting, huh?
Mostly a cup of tea. Few books. A card diary, my telephone..

I will be um, to the point - my desk is fully loaded.
Deep breath!
List: dual monitor setup; speakers on either side, bass setup underneath; huge calculator; highlighter; my business cards; remote for speakers (it works); telephone with dual phone lines; 8 books (CSS, HTML; VBA; Access 2000-2003 Bibles); um.... wait, there are at least 100 more items, and I will just take a pic and put it on my blog. Great Googly Moogly! I almost missed the TWQ!
I'm sitting at "Amanda's" computer at the moment and she has this desk covered with things she uses for her artwork -
There's a tablet for computerized drawing
A webcam
A box of crayons
A box of colored pencils
Some hot pink duct tape
Pencil shavings in an empty soda bottle
Scissors
White-out
A digital camera
And more stuff than you can shake a stick at!
She really needs to take the time to clean this mess up!
Around my computer (laptop)is:
1- underneath is a mat with "an apple a day" so not to slide the pc
2- mouse mat with stonehenge in a evening sky
3- a mug with a handle in the shape of a watch tower (with pencils in it)
3- the remote (that jams too much) for the dvd player on the computer
4- a bottle the size of the tip of my thumb with a paper boat inside it
5- a stuffed little cat with on it's shirt "I love you purr-ty much"
Gasp.
So embarrassed. My desk's littered with bills, files, stationery and snacks.
*quickly clears work desk*
darth maul bubble bath bottle, Darth Vader's lightsaber min rep from Empire Strikes Back, a large Kotobukiya model of Darth Vader, an egyptian cat, an Imperial shuttle, a small mouse light thing for keychains, a dalek bubble bath bottle, a teddy bear in the guise of a Candian Mountie from my mum. a clock and my scanner.
