As you all probably know, next Wednesday (14th) is my 50th birthday. Today, TWQ (The Weekend Question is asking about red-letter birthdays in your past.
Can you remember any memorable birthdays you've had in the past and what happened? List as many as you wish.
My answers are:
* On my 21st, I had a large sit-down family party that many family members said it was the best they had been to. Everything clicked that night.
* On my 26th, my parents secretly arranged with my office for a kissogram girl to visit the office
* On my 40th, I had big party, mixed with office and relatives.
Now it's over to you...

My 21st: memorable as the birthday I can't remember anything of.
happy birthday!!! mine is tomorrow, i'll be 51, but don't tell anyone;)
i'm not much into my own birthdays, as long as cake is involved, i'm ok with whatever. tomorrow involves cheesecake:)
Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter :).Happy birthday He!He!He!. Passing by capt'n

My 21st, I was camping in Atlanta with the Hash House Harriers and they gave me a down down of about half a gallon beer. It was difficult, but I managed...
My 30th, my then-girlfriend-now-wife threw me a party with a lot of friends. It was great but we had a bit of a disagreement and almost broke up. Don't worry, it turned out OK.
Happy early Birthday, Captain!
Memorable birthdays? Perhaps, but not for the good.
Hiya Captain! This was a good one, I have it up in a moment on my blog.
In the meantime - Happy Birthday!
I'd have to say that at this point my 50th was the most memorable as I got to spend the evening at a local tavern with friends from work and a couple of new blog buddies - one from across the pond even!
Doesn't get much better than that!
Last year my sister surprised me with tickets to the concert of The Cure for my 26st birthday. They played Antwerp on the very day of my birthday - and yeah, people may say they're getting old, and no they are not goth(!!!) but they played for 4 hours and did a great gig. That will stay my favorite birthday. I never figured to have the chance to see them up close, performing.
You've had a good collection. Ones that stand out from the norm are always good.
My 33rd was an enjoyable day at Kennywood park and my 31st I went to see 1776 at the CLO
The first birthday I remember in detail was turning four on a camping trip with my family in West Virginia. My best memory is of my dad asking how old I was. I responded by holding up three fingers to which he held up four in return. It became a game we repeated throughout the day.
Hmmm the one that comes to mind is my 29th birthday because Hubby forgot about it and then watching him try and throw something together real quick and act like he didn't forget was priceless...LOL
I hope you have a great Birthday in 2009!!!
Thanks so much for the post, really effective data.
