TWQ: Superheroes

TWQ (The Weekend Question) asks you this week about superheroes.

Which superhero would you like to be, and which powers would you ideally like to have?

My answers are:

I was always a Superman fan when I was young, so I think that's who I'd pick, although it's no fun being allergic to kryptonite. I wouldn't mind adding the telekinetic powers of Jean Grey and the ability to walk through walls that Kitty Pryde has.

Now it's over to you...

I want to be whatever superhero has x-ray vision, invisibility AND an uncanny ability to predict winning lotto numbers!

Here by way of michele today!

i'd like to be able to be invisible, great way to sneak up on people and find out what's going on!

Kind of a Spiderman fan, myself -- there are people I would love to wrap up in a web!

Here from Michele today.

Wonder Woman - I would love to get my hands on that Lasso of Truth! Not to mention the cool outfit!

Green Hornet was my favorite hero when I was a kid. Don't know why...

Flying would be fun and strength would be pratical. Reading minds might be scary.

I really can't think of any superhero. But I would like to have powers to be able to right the wrong and to make everyone happy and healthy.
Have a nice weekend. BTW, received your 2nd postcard. Did you get mine?

There's no particular superhero I want to be...but I would love to be able to time travel!

Michele sent me to say "Konnichi wa"

I'd like the ability to turn invisible at will, like the invisible girl in the Fantastic Four. Teleportation would also be handy to save on train fares :)

This should come as no surprise to you Jean-Luc...but I'd really rather like to have Mystique's shape shifting abilities...[she has a great body too!]...

Oh since you picked Superman [plus a few added powers] do I get to be Lois Lane, even though she's not a superhero...????? :)

I'll assume you mean which other super-hero, in my case.

I suppose I have always admired the Hulk. He doesn't know the meaning of the words failure or cowardice.

Before I answer, I must say that I love this site... I read it regularly now and I stumbled upon it by mistake... now it is one of my faves...:)

So, the super hero that I would like to be is the Incredible Hulk. He's a Wanderer with amazing Strength... and I like to see myself in the same light... Although, if I were really him I would like to get rid of the uncontrolable anger and replace it with the ability to harness it into more productive and effective ways. I would also like to have the abiblity to fly and teleportation and the abiblity to read minds. not to much to ask...:)

Thanks for the great site. Talk to you soon

My family and friends are shocked by the way i can sometimes finish their sentences and guess what they're going to say... so i naturally gravitated toward Jean Grey... but then i'd so much like to be phoenix... bwahahaha

blowing up universes and the like... i mean, i'd really use it for good... honest!

Neat site. In answer to your question, I would choose super-popularity. When the world was in peril and all hope seemed lost under threat of the unpopular-nerd type characters, a united love and faith in me, the cranially vacant womanizing champion athlete, would win the day as I bullied villians in to submission. It would be a lot like jr. high school except the roles would be reversed. I wouldn't be the one being chased through the cafeteria by three food flinging footballers. There is sadness and alliteration there.

Cheers to this unique blog!

If Nightcrawler wasn't a guy I'd want to be him, but as is I think Storm's abilities would be a blast! When I was little I wanted to be Wonder Woman. I even had the Underoos.

I would like to fly and be invisible! No one person....

Invisibility seems to be very popular so far.

Friday, didn't have your postcard yet.

Ciera, Mystique is probably another one I might have chosen. Yes, you can be Lois Lane!

Professor, the Hulk doesn't know the meaning of a lot of other words either!

Michele sent me, Captain Picard.

Even as a kid, I knew I didn't want the responsibility for others that the Superman mantle brings on. In fact, any unmitigated do-gooder superhero annoys me a bit. I think I'd go for someone like Wolverine that has a nice dose of cynicism built in.

Wow, tough question as I've never been much of a superhero fan. Seems like every super power comes with its down side. I'll have to ponder this for a while....

...oh, and Michele sent me here today!

Hi Jean Luc. I would like to be 'Manifest Girl!" Able to make anything happen in the blink of an eye. How's that for total power. Here via Michele, nice to meet you! Have a great day.

i am already blessed with many special powers, and am known sometimes as invisidancergirl for my grooving abilities. however, i would also have to go with wolverines healing talents and either telportation or at least the power to fly long distances super quickly.

real invisibility is over-rated i think, i don't really want to know what people say behind my back, so unless i could use invisibility to steal clothes and shoes and stuff (which would make me evil not super), i'd skip it.

oops sorry, i'm never gonna be memorygirl. here via michele.

I've never been big into superheroes, so don't know who has what powers...although like many, I'd like to be Jean Grey. I watched My favorite Martian as a child and am always dreaming that I can move things with my mind. I'm already invisable and I can see into some folks lives....so, I think I'd like to be able to get somewhere fast.

Here from Michele's!

I like the ability to teleport so I could wait until the last minute to get somewhere.

Via Michele's.

planet rashbre and rashbre central already have superpowers so I don't think I'd need much more.

Timelording is a pretty useful skill and this can usually offset most types of problem. Its hard to be caught out by surprise if you can just hit rewind and remodel the scene.

I don't know whether you've ever looked at Second Life on the earth's internet.

That allows a more gravitational being to acquire a few special powers like body upgrades and rather cool ways to fly and so forth.

If you are over there ever, check out rashbre Twin (note spelling) which is another manifestation of rashbre.

Catwoman appeals to me. Yup. I''ll be her.

Teleportation would be cool. I was also think that telepathy would be cool...but it would opening up Pandora's Box wouldn't it?

Wow what a question, but to be honest if you have force capabilities do you need to also have super hero powers?

Lord Vader has certain qualities that I do admire, his absolute control over his environment, his tenacity to go on despite great disfigurement, and his stubbornness.

That being said his temper needs some serious improvment...

I also kinda liked wonder woman...
