TWQ: Backing Bands

This week, TWQ (The Weekend Question) looks at those backing bands that front artists.

Can you remember the names of backing bands that artists used to have? The more obscure the better. List as many as you like.

My answers are:

The Sunsets (Shakin' Stevens)
The Dakotas (Billy J Kramer)
The Aces (Desmond Dekkar)
The Twilights (Phil Phillips)

Now it's over to you...

I can't think of any that haven't already been named except The Comets or The Pacemakers (bit obvious!).

Michele sent me to say hi!

JL, I think you made some of those up. I've never heard of most of them. The only band I remember is The Fabulous Thunderbirds (backing up Jimmy Vaughn).

Blimey - this is a tough one...The only few I know have already been named....

Not so much a question as a challenge this weekend, Jean-Luc!

Michele sent me back to have another go but it's too early in the morning and all I can think of is The Shadows (who backed Cliff Richard).
