This week, TWQ (The Weekend Question) looks into an issue that is dear to many hearts; their pets, or what they would choose.
What pets do you have, and what breeds are they (or mixed)? If you don't have any pets, what would you choose?
My answer is:
I don't have any pets, but if I did, it would be a Minature Schnauzer dog. I also have a liking for reptiles, but would not like to feed them the live food!
Now it's over to you...

We have a couple of pets...
1. A Black Greyhound. He was a rescue dog, and we get hime when we were members of the Greyhound Adoption Program, rehabilitated ex-racers into the community!
2. We also have a cat. A medium haired white cat, and whilst her looks may be quite cute, she has an evil streak about her!
3. A Siamese fight fish, that lives in a very tall vase for a fish tank. Jasmine, the cat, likes to visit and have a drink quite often...
Thanks for your visit!
We have Punky, a black labrador/Rottweiler mix our daughter adopted many years ago while working at a local vet clinic. Our first dog was Wooly, a Yorkshire/Scots Terrier mix who lived to a ripe old age.
I love your weekend questions! It's been too long. Glad to pay another visit. (Michele sent me, by the way.)
OK, we have a black cat - no specific breed - and a Golden Retriever. Both spend their days shedding all over everything!!!
We have a 100% pure bred American mutt Shamrock. After we adopted her, we took her to the vet and he couldn't figure out all the different kinds of dog in her.
Ahh this one is easy!
1. Asher, he's nearly 9 years old, middle aged now, he's a white and brown tabby cat. Rescued from a local cats home in 2000.
2. Gracie, she's nearly 2,and she's black with white paws and a white bib. Her brother, Noah, died at 8 months old, and I'm sure cats mourn. They were from the RSPCA after being dumped as kittens.
3. Kira, who is 15 months old is black, unless it's the summer and then you see dark chocolate brown tabby kind of markings on her back. She's our baby and she arrived shortly after Noah died. She was the last, and the smallest, of the litter of a rescue cat from a local private charity. She's still tiny in comparison to Asher and Grace, but she's plucky little thing.
I saw a picture of a white and tortie little girl in the vets last week, and she was gorgeous, yes I'd have more if I could afford them.
1 Beagle-ish mix
1 Malty-poo
4 kitties tabby, tuxedo, calico and gray shorthair :)
We have two black cats; they are sisters and litter-mates, about 12 years old now. If I were to ever get another pet, I think it would be a Maltese puppy. Michele says hi!
I had a guiney pig called Fons, but he died. He was pitch black wit one white line on his bum. Silly creature he was. Recognized the sound of the refridgerator very well - squeeled like a banshee for food when opened fridge door!
A lot of birds: canaries (grey/green/yellow), Bengali-birds (very small), Mandarin-birds, Pada-birds.
I would have liked a cat. But with the birds... not advisable. An unadulterated cat...
Captain: Like you I am cat and dog-less at the moment. But I love Yellow Labs, Beagles, Maltese. My last dog was years ago--a Pekingese. My recent pet was a Cat I had to put down due to Feline Leukemia (discovered) after I adopted him.
I have two chinchillas and a toad at the moment.(Originally there were 3 toads but one ate the others) The chinchillas hate each other.
No pets now but in the past I've had a miniature dachshund named Elsie who was just the cutest little thing ever. I wouldn't mind having one again but I'm gone so much it doesn't seem fair to leave a poor dog at home all alone all the time.
Hello Jean-Luc,
I truly enjoy your weekend questions.:o)
Okay... I have 7 kitties. All have been either adopted or I took them in as strays.
If I could I would love to have a lop eared rabbit but that would not be good around kitties.
I would like a wolf but kitties would not be safe around him. :o)
Have a nice weekend.
like you, i am pet-less at the moment, but we're looking into getting an "orange and white girl kitten that meows a lot" (according to my 3yo daughter).
We have 3 cats that were brought home by various kids (including spouse -- "can I keep him?")
Gizmo (small) = 6 lbs
Jax (med) = 10 lbs
No-name (also referred to as shitty-kitty) (xlarge) = 26 lbs
one yellow tabby cat with white feet named Sox.
Two horses, Miss Priss and Midnight (both Missouri Foxtrotters.
I have a white whippet called Faith and my husband keeps marine and tropical fish and corals. We used to have 2 lizards but I dropped a box of crickets, which escaped and hid under our floorboards. The noise was unbearable for weeks. Needless to say, that put me off keeping reptiles. Besides, locusts are huge and rather scary looking.
I have a black and white cat who has been with me since 1992.
I think I will always have a cat but if I had the time to look after them I would have a pair of retired greyhounds. I would also like a parrot and an iguana.
Michele sent me over to play :)
Good hearing about your various pets, and that so many were rescues.
Flik, that's one rule about toad-keeping!
Supermum, glad to hear from you for the first time!
Thanks Jean-Luc. I intend to stick around.
I don't have a pet. Never had one. And cannot own one either.
That's becos I always wanted a leopard as a pet. Alas, that is not allowed by wildlife act!
Miche sent me here...
I have a Florida garter snake named Athena. I don't care for the whole Discovery Channel live food thing, either, but she eats earthworms and minnows, so it's not that big of a deal.
I'd really like a cat, but one of the girls I nanny for is allergic.
We have four little dogs and some fish. There are three black Pommeranians and one long haired black Dauschund. The hot dog's name is Schuldig, which is German for "guilty".
I have a black cat and a small mut dog that looks similar to a Jack Russel. Both rescue animals and two of the sweetest babies you'll ever meet. If I ever got another it would probably be a long haired chiuaua. I loves the little ones...
hi from Micheles!
I have fish
A Tarantula and a Newfoundlander Puppy
oh and JP anyone who owns Reptiles and is a serious owner would tell you that it is best NOT to feed reptiles or T's live mice
they can do damage to your pet it is best to feed them frozen mice thawed out
(they are dead)
We have two pets: a dog and a cat.
Our dog, Smokie, is a lab, border collie mix with gorgeous blue eyes. He is black with a white throat and two white paws. He also has a plume of white from his nose to the top of his head. He was rescued as a puppy and is a joy.
Our cat, Boxer, is a 'Heinz 57' variety. He is a large cat and is completely gray. He is my cat...my hubby just tolerates him!!!
we have a stray cat that we took in and have had for six years now she is a tabby cat, answers to sniff or stupid lol.
Nice to see you again captain
i only have three granddogs but if i could have a pet it would, of course, be a cat or cats and they would blog too!!!
smiles, bee
