TWQ: Films To Look Forward To

This week, TWQ (The Weekend Question) asks about all those films you have heard about that are being released in the near future.

Which films are you looking forward to seeing this year and will get you first in the queue at the local cinema? Any lesser known ones?

My answers are:

Terminator : Salvation: This is one I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing. Anything to do with the Terminator universe, film or tv has me keenly watching.

My Sister's Keeper: Quite the contrast from the above. This film version of the tearjerker novel by Jodi Picault looks good. I read the novel earlier this year and found the shock ending very upsetting. Go and see this, but you'll need some boxes of tissues!

Now it's over to you...

HA HA! I've already got my tickets to see the new Star Trek movie. And we're seeing it a FULL DAY ahead of everyone else in the U.S. The release is on 5/8, but we're seeing it on 5/7 at 7p that night. And in the same theater that the world premier was in: The Alamo Draft House in Austin, TX (shameless plug: http://nepharia.com/blog/?p=107) :D I'm all a-twitter!

I didn't know there were any other movies coming out this year ;D

I'm also waiting for the new Star Trek. Unfortunately, being here in Palembang, I'm going to have to wait a really long time.....unless I make a trip to Malaysia. Hmmm...Thats a thought.

i don't really look ahead for movies. On a night when I can think of nothing better to do - I may see what's playing.

Nice to see you again Captain, Fair winds!

Well, there are a couple. The latest Harry Potter installment of course, because I may as well be 12 when it comes to those books and movies.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past w/Jennifer Garner and Matthew Mac... I don't know how to spell his last name. I'm not a huge fan of either actors, but I like the premise of the movie itself.

I've seen scenes from My Sister's Keeper, but I don't know if I'll see it in the theater. I'll probably wait and rent it so I can fall apart in the privacy of my own home.

I think i saw it advertised, - and is it called Wolverine, the one with Hugh Jackman? oh, and also, one with whatisname? from Pirates of the Carribean/bian...ugh, his name evades me...well anyway...it's 1:33 a.m. and i'm beat after a hectic day's trip to Yarrow and back.

Naturally, the new Star Trek movie is on my list, as is X Men Origins: Wolverine. The Lovely Bones is a must-see as well.

No question: the new Star Trek and Terminator: Salvation. Although, since our local theaters are too loud with unruly kids and people who can't give up their cell phones for an hour or two, I may just wait for the DVDs to come out.

Scwarzenegger inTerminator IV? He joked with Arianna Huffington during a debate that he has the perfect role for her in such a movie! Otherwise, I'm terribly behind the times and need to stop at a theater today to see what's on!

Not sure if I'll be in the queue for the first person to see the ST film, I might wait for the reviews.

I just might be first in line to see the Harry Potter film.

Michael, there is no Arnie in T4. Christian (Batman) Bale plays John Connor as an adult waging war with the machines after Judgement Day.
