TWQ: Romance

As Valentine's Day is this Tuesday, we look into Romance:

Have you any unusual romantic stories or Valentine's Day happenings?

My answer is:

My girlfriend and I met over the internet; though we are in different parts of the world, our romance has developed due to our messages and our telephone calls. We are both grateful to the web for bringing us together.

Now it's over to you...

But before I go....

I met my hubby over the internet also - he was in England and I was here in the US, and he moved over here where we are living "happily ever after" lol. I don't think I have any unusual Valentine's Day stories...never was a big holiday for me :D

As for the quiz, my result was:

    Barbara Stanwyck
You scored 50% grit, 4% wit, 47% flair, and 9% class!
You're a tough dame, a bit of a spitfire, and you can even be a little dangerous, but you do it with such flair that almost all is forgiven (and even when it's not, you're still the most interesting woman in the room). You can be witty and charming, all right, but you have a tough streak that keeps you focused and sometimes deadly. You've had quite a climb to get where you are, but you're a hard worker and you mostly deserve all you get...and then some. You might end up destroying everything around you, but you must admit...you've got style. Your leading men include Henry Fonda, Fred MacMurray, and when you forget yourself, Gary Cooper.

Thanks for the fun! Here from Michele's today!

I've never been a huge fan of V-Day. I don't need a special day for me to tell Mr. Pink I love him, and when I was single, the day just made me feel bad about it. So, I can't say I really have any good V-Day stories.... but thanks for sharing yours :)

My hubby drove all the way from Texas to Virginia on a weekend to surprise me and propose. That's pretty romantic, right?

Gosh, I don't have an unusual Valentine's Day story.

    That sounds so sad.

I don't really have any good Valentine's Day stories. We don't do much for VD, it's more a kid thing at my house.

That's so cool that you met your girlfriend online! You should tell that story sometime.

Sorry, no VD stories here. :-(

Btw, I found out that I'm Katharine Hepburn! Very cool!!!

It's fascinating that there are so many romantic internet meetings. November Rain, Stephanie, Ciera have had similar experiences; that and childhood sweethearts are so romantic!

Great to hear the test results!

Are you able to get together with your girlfriend, in person?
I hope so...A Very Happy Valentines Day to you both...!

I must come back with more time for the test. Cool blog. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"...my favorite Spock quote. (I'm an old school Trekie)... But... Jean-Luc-Picard how it rolls off the tongue... He's very cool too.

My wife to be and I met at a hash. Our first Valentines together she was co-haring a trail and went to a store to get Valentine's dday-related goodies for the participants. While ringing up her purchases, the store clerk felt it was neccecery to tell her "Remember, spanish fly is not a lubricant."

Not really romantic, but fairly funny, and it shows the wackiness of our lives when we were dating.

Michele sent me again, and I'm trying very hard to think of something new to say! Oh wait! I know - I'll take the GUY test. One second please....

ROFLMAO! On the guy test, I scored as John Wayne!

    John Wayne
You scored 50% Tough, 9% Roguish, 28% Friendly, and 14% Charming!
You, my friend, are a man's man, the original true grit, one tough talking, swaggering son of a bitch. You're not a bad guy, on the contrary, you're the ultimate good guy, but you're one tough character, rough and tumble, ready for anything. You call the shots and go your own way, and if some screwy dame is willing to accept your terms, that's just fine by you. Otherwise, you'll just hit the open trail and stay true to yourself. You stand up for what you believe and can handle any situation, usually by rushing into the thick of the action. You're not polished and you're not overly warm, but you're a straight shooter and a real stand up guy. Co-stars include Lauren Bacall and Maureen O'Hara, tough broads who can take care of themselves.
