TWQ: Airport Likes & Dislikes

As people are jetting off on their vacations, TWQ (the Weeekend Question) asks what you like and dislike about airports.

What do you like and dislike about airports? List as many as you wish.

My answers are:

LIKES:

* Watching all the varieties of people, different nationalities go past. So many all grouped togerther.

DISLIKES:

* Checking in.

* The substandard restaurants.

* The Gates that are miles from where we are, awful for those who cannot walk far.

* The carousels to pick luggage up from. It's a rule that my case is the last one.

* Customs are never organised.

Now it's over to you....

I have to agree with all you've said Captain..
I have to say though many of those things do vary a lot between airports it depends on where your flying to as well I think..
I must say my trip to LA last year, going over was ok, coming back not so much fun.. Heathrow well that place is a chaos, really it is.. Newark, LAX and even humble Edinburgh were far, far better..

Looks to me like you've pretty covered it all! One of the things that I used to like about airports but not anymore since all of the security changes over the years was watching people get greeted at the gate as they got off of the plane. Now you've got to walk half a mile before you can finally meet whoever was there to pick you up!

I dislike the tight security checks at the airports. It is for our own good but the checks takes quite long these days.
