TWQ: Shopping Pains

TWQ (The Weekend Question) this week focuses not on what people like to shop for, but what they DON'T like.

What items don't you like shopping for? List as many as you wish.

My answers are:

Shoes: Definately top of my list. As my shoe size is slightly different, it's a real pain to find the shoes that are suitable without having them made.

Wallpaper: How am I supposed to guess how they look on a wall?

Now it's over to you...

Morning Cap'n! :-)

Things I hate shopping for? Not a huge fan of shopping period.
But top of my list is clothes. Not being an 'accepted' shape or size, I hate choosing clothes and then trying them on, only to be disappointed.

It's mostly clothes - I'll think about it while I'm away at Caerphilly Castle and see if I can think of anything else.

furniture - there are too many stores that have way lots of stuff and I'm supposed to pick just 1 sofa that I, well not just I, but all of my family will have to live with for a long, long time.

Much as this embarrasses me to say this...undies. I hate shopping for them. I hate stores like Victoria's Secret with a passion and their overpriced garments that fall apart after a few washings.

Last weekend I spent hours (in pain) shopping for nightwear.A hopital stay was due on Monday 29th and I really 'had'nt a thing to wear'.Do designers imagine that we lose all sense of style the minute we change for bed!! Marks & Spencer saved the day & I am recuperating in grey, white, and silver (not a pink rose winceyette nightie in sight.)
The operation went well, may change my life!!

Gee, pretty much everything as I seem to truly hate shopping these days but I especially don't like shopping for groceries as I always seem to be at a loss as to what to get and clothing as I always seem to be at a loss to find anything that fits correctly and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy!

Oh - and first and foremost on the list would be shoe shopping for Amanda as she has rather large feet and can't find any styles that she likes that will fit her. It's an exercise in frustration and futility and we always both end up wishing we hadn't gone!

That's true. If we are not 'standard sizes', choices seem to shrink rapidly.

Auto parts... the gene that gives most normal males of this species knowledge of all things automotive, apparently skipped me.

I do a lot of my shopping on the internet Captain Picard. I wouldn't go shopping for anything I didn't really like, so this is a hard question for me to answer. I will say that my favourite store in Cambridge is the Apple store in the Grand Arcarde.

I hope you have had a very happy Easter.

I am NOT a good shopper. Whenever possible, I scout ahead of time on the internet so that I can dash in and out of stores with minimal time loss. I can't do that with grocery shopping, so I probably like that the least -unless I'm able to bring along one of my kids and turn it into "together time" (and then, it's the best!).
