TWQ: Best New Inventions

With so much new technology around nowadays, TWQ (The Weekend Question) is asking about new inventions.

What has been the best new invention for you over the last few years? List more than one if you wish.

My answers are:

The VCR has allowed us to see programmes when we wish, rather than when the company says . This has also led on to the SkyPlus (British equivilant of TiVo) and latterly the DVR (digital recorder)

The digital camera has allowed us to take as many pictures as we wish without committing to film.

Now it's over to you...

Only two?! So many great choices... In recent times I'd say the cell phone and digital photography. Going a little further back, I'd include air travel and the microwave oven.

I really like my DVR as it allows me to record shows and watch them at my own leisure without all of those annoying commercials getting in the way. I can also play back a part I missed or didn't quite hear right the first time!

And even though it's not technology per say, I absolutely adore my heated mattress bad especially now that it's been getting cold again. There is nothing like it anywhere as far as I'm concerned!

I agree that those inventions altered much about our day-to-day lives, add to them the personal computer, the cell phone and let us not forget the microwave oven. We are busy people, what ever would we do without these thing?

That's true...so many modern devices we take for granted.

My lap top has to be one, and the other is the CD.

No scratched records and you don't have to turn them over for side two, brilliant.

I would definitely have to say the digital camera, microwave and that little vacuum that has a mind of its own!
