TWQ: Cell Phone Problems

Apologies for there being no TWQ last week, as I was trying to collect and sort out my first cell phone. As a result, the week's TWQ is all about this gadget.

What were your first problems with the cell phone you had? What was the answer? List as many as you wish.

My answers are:

* Connecting up to Facebook. I was led to believe the answer was on App World, and not on the SetUp screen.

* Voicemail: I still haven't figured the right way on nmy BlackBerry 9780. Any answers would be helpful.

PLUS: Do you have any good BlackBerry tips?

Now it's over to you.....

my first cell phone was in the mid 80's and it was big and clunky but it was a flip phone and "cool"!

can't help with the blackberry. i have an iPhone and dropped it once, the screen cracked but they replaced it free for me.

have a great weekend!

I'm sure my phone could go on the internet, most do I think these days, but it's about 3 years old.

Problems, no I just phone or text :)

lol, my first cell phone was very heavy & came in bag.

my current one...I have text & web block, because when I'm out & about I am enjoying whatever it is I'm doing without dividing my attentions.

Blackberries are pretty good in a pie.

happy weekend & phone issue solving

I've had my cell phone for several years and never have figured out how to set up the voicemail. I hate tech gadgets (even though I have an iPod touch and an eReader). As long as my phone makes and receives a phone call when I need it to, that's good enough for me. My main problem is remembering to charge it. I might use my phone once in three or four months and the rest of the time, I've forgotten all about it. Oh and remembering my phone number is a big problem. I have to look it up every time someone wants the number. Not that they can call me, I usually have the phone turned off. Maybe I'm the biggest problem for my cell phone - haha

First Cell I had was a Savvy aka a half brick, that's what it felt like in my hand anyway, problem I used to have with it was the speed dials I kept pocket dialling my mate.
Miranda - maybe, although I do know one or two people who do that, they turn it off when they "don't need it" hmm annoying when your trying to get a hold of them or text them.

Captain - http://demos.blackberry.com/9780/na/us/gen/ try there might give you a few pointers for stuff.

Battery life used to be a problem but actually the Blackberries are pretty good for that. Like others here I have moved through the 'Brick' stages too but nowadays the power charger can be the same mass as the phone itself.
