TWQ: Vacations

This week TWQ (the Weekend Question) asks how your annual vacation is planned.

How is your annual vacation chosen? Careful deliberation, with a pin or what. List your method.

My answers are:

It used to be a lot of careful deliberation and planning. Now there seem to be so many other factors, the last one was like a military operation and quite a chore. The further we go, the harder it is.

Now it's over to you...

I don't really plan an annual vacation per say but seem to take a lot of little trips here and there instead. I am planning a big vacation for when my friend Claire is over visiting this fall from your part of the country. We're making all sorts of plans and plotting out all sorts of routes and places to go. I can't wait!

Mt trips are driven largely by friends who wish to get together. This leads to other cities for a weekend here and there. :)

Ours are chosen by price, or rather the lack of it.

I'm hoping this year we'll be able to get away to Surrey for a time, crashing in on relatives.

My wife and I love taking cruises, so that's what we've been doing the last couple of years, timed to coincide with her birthday. Our main criterea, besides the timing, is that we leave from New York, near where we live.
