TWQ: Irritating Things

This week, TWQ (the Weekend Question) asks about tiny things that irritate yourself.

What small things really get on your nerves and irritate you? List as many as you wish.

My answers are:

* People who whistle

*People who tap their desks

* People who use words like 'mate' all the time, as they are clearly too ignorant to remember anyone's name.

Now it's over to you....

Little things?

People who throw their cigarette butts out of the car windows like the world is their big personal ashtray.

People who go through the express line at the grocery with a lot more than the limited number of items.

People who call 911 and don't listen and never answer our first question of "What's the address of your emergency?"

My kids who can never seem to put the dishes in the dishwasher which is right next to the sink!

Socks that bunch up in my shoes!

Someone who sees you coming in your car/walking on the street/etc. and then rushes forward to make sure he/she gets in front of you before you pass by.

People on cell phones ANYWHERE public.

Someone giving the pharmacist a PhD-level quiz about their prescription while you're waiting 20 minutes to buy NyQuil.

Electronic voices that pass for proper customer service.

People who curse rather than thinking of an appropriate word to express themselves.

People glued to smart phones or blackberries instead of talking to the people with them.

Those phone calls from 0845 numbers.

I agree with them all. I forgot my major gripe, which is junk mail sellers who are trying to get older people to part with their money. We have streams of them coming through and calling.
