TWQ: Valentine's Day

As Sunday is Valentine's Day, TWQ (the Weekend Question) goes all romantic...

What is the most romantic Valentine's present you have given or received?

My answer is:

I gave my girl a large bunch of flowers and a teddy bear.
Besides a card, the berst present was the thank-you kiss for the above!

Now it's over to you...

I've always been a practical person, which is good, since I've never received any grand gestures or outrageous gifts. Last February 14th, my new husband spent hours fixing things around my mother-in-law's house. Not HIS mother (we weren't even married yet), but the mother of my late husband. He repaired light fixtures, the toilet works, the vents, etc. Stuff she really needed, but we didn't have a handyman in the family at the time. I thanked him for it later, and he said he did it because he loved ME.

You better believe I'll hang onto that man!

I'll always remember a college boyfriend who made a sign in the shape of a heart, painted "Happy Valentine's Day, Heather!" on it and planted it in the front yard of my sorority. Made me smile all day...

It's been so long since I've gotten - or given - a Valentine's Day gift that I really can't remember what it may have been.

My first husband and I used to exchange homemade Valentine's Day cards so perhaps that qualifies?

Have a lovely Valetine's weekend!

Hmm Simple things like a single red rose and a little something besides just so show I care.. This year it was a 3 roses, a teddy bear and a personalised voice message, oh and having a friend send her a hand made card too.

As we left a movie theater, she admired the movie poster. So, I had it custom-framed and delivered with roses. I felt that was bold.

Last year, I bought my husband the latest album from his favorite singer and silk pajamas. They are both still his favorites. He got me an antique necklace and earring set with my birthstones for our first Valentine's day that I'll always treasure.

Red roses and chocolates are what I received for V-Day.
Still waiting for a diamond choker or a 1-carat diamond ring. :P

Happy Valentine's Day too!
