TWQ: Current Books

As we all read at some point TWQ is asking about what they are right now.

What book are you currently reading? What was the last one, and what do you plan to go on to next?

My answers are:

Currently I'm reading The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters. It's a chilling ghost story that was an entry in the Booker Prize for novls.

Previously, I read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson, the first in a Swedish crime trilogy.

I plan to return to the second book with The Girl Who Played With Fire.

Now it's over to you...

I was just saying yesterday that it's been a long time since I've read a book as I just don't seem to have the time these days. If I read enough blogs, does that almost count as a book?!?

Let's see--good question. I read a book, published very recently, about Anne Boelyn's last days/trial. I am currently reading a book about the relationship between Alva and Consuelo Vanderbilt--great so far.

The last book I read was The Nine Tailors by Dorothy L Sayers, and I plan to go onto one of her other books.

I think it might be Gaudy Night.

Though the very last book I read was "Where's Spot", my Grandson has been here for over night, and he loves it.

I'm reading one serious book "21st century boys. How modern life is driving them off the rails and how we can get them back on track." by Sue Palmer and one for distraction, "The Bourne Deception". Both have been good so far.

I'm reading "A Suitable Boy," a classic novel set in 1950s India about India's class system and arrangged marriage. I last read "In The Time of the Butterflies" a novel about the three sister's who were martyred during the brutal Trujillo regime in the Dominican Republic.

Just remember that I started to read Brighton Rock & I must finish it. - but I'm reading Julie Walters' autobiography 'That's another story' We're a similar age & she went to my school so her life & times are strangely familiar.
