TWQ: Yearly Internship

This week, TWQ (The Weekend Question) asks about where people would like to spend an internship...and asks them to use their imaginations!

List a few places you would like to be an intern for. Be practical, funny, weird or anything you like!

My answers are:

1: Cheese Taster.....I love cheese!

2: Chief Executive of my company so I can get the dead wood out...especially in my office!

3: Computer Role Playing Games Tester....all those games to enjoy.

4: Airline Steward....all those places to visit!

Now it's over to you....

  1. I'd love to intern at the National Archives in Scotland, so I could do some more genealogy research. Alternatively, a job interning as a quiz program question researcher would be fun. Michele says hi.

  10. A ranger at the Gettysburg National Battlefield would be at the top of my list so that I could learn every nuance of the Park and the battles fought there.

Taste-taster at an ice cream factory might not be a bad gig either!

I would also love to intern with a good trial lawyer - not sure if I would prefer prosecution or defense, though. Maybe six months with each?

Also - thank you very, very much for adding my post to your list of Quality Posts. A girl couldn't ask for anything more than recognition by her fellow bloggers!

You know, I actually had my dream internship when I was in college. I worked at a nationally known radio station in Boulder, CO. I once had designs on being a dj, until I realized that you have to play whats on their - already prepared - playlist. Anyway, I did meet Tori Amos and The Barenaked Ladies (hilariously funny group of guys, btw) while I was interning, which was pretty darn cool.

  16. 1) I think I would go for your #1 too. I love cheese so much that I don't even care if it triggers my migraine.
    2) I would also like to be a Doctor so I could help other people who can't afford to go to one.
    3) Airline Stewardess too...just like you, I would also like to see many places. They have been my long time dream. Guess too old for it now (lol)
By the way, thanks for the postcard and thanks for the visit.

    1. I would want to intern at an innovative school that actually teaches kids something rather than bow to the whims of the government-mandated testing requirements -- thereby learning how to open my own :D

Michele sent me to answer this question!

I think my internship would have to involve food of some kind...

Maybe an internship with chef Gordon Ramsay, if I could stand all his foul-mouthed language and aggressive attitude.

Or for something more sedate, I'd love to work as a pastry chef creating delicious cakes, desserts, chocolates etc. This would obviously involve lots of tasting!

  26. I'd like to do an internship at a radio station. Must be fun (or stressfull?)

Or an internship on the set of a movie or series.

Maybe an internship as a taster at a cookie factory, but that would be terrible on my figure.

Hey just found this star trek wiki: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Portal:Main . Has this been around for long, cause I just stumbled on it.
