This week, TWQ (The Weekend Question) looks at memorable lines from the movies:

What famous movie quotes do you like most?

My answers are:

Apart from those in 'Casablanca', which seem to be one memorable quote after another, others that come to mind are:

'Make him an offer he couldn't refuse' (The Godfather movies)

'Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore' (The Wizard Of Oz)

'What we've got here is failure to communicate' (Cool Hand Luke)

'Made it Ma! Top Of the world!' (White Heat)

    From Galaxy Quest "Does the rolling help?" and "Hold Please..."

    From Serenity "Define interesting" and "She is starting to damage my calm" ( Although pretty much anything from this film often gets quoted in this house.

    The Princess Bride "I do nothing that word means what you think it means..."

    The Marix trilogy "There is no spoon" and "Everything that has a beginning has an end."

    From Star Wars ESB: "The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am..."


    truble is in this house we watch a lot of films over and over so the sound bytes get incorporated into daily conversation...there are an awful lot.

    Oh, and in Star Trek Generations when Data says, "Shit!" Cracked me up. I was 11 at the time (ooh, showing my age). My sweet conscientious friend told me she wouldn't go see it if it had swearing in it.
