Riker Speaking

.

This is Will Riker, and the Cap has asked me to write the Journal for today as he and Data have gone in a shuttle to study gas clouds in a nebula.

Talk about boring!

Well, it's going to be fun all the way on the Enterprise today while our great leader isn't here. While the Cap's away, the crew will play!

Where do I get them from?

Tonight it's Party Night in Ten Forward. Guinan will be supplying drinks, we'll be having a great time and letting our hair down.

If there is an alien attack at the same time, there may be a problem.

Anyway, it's time to get the show on the road. The music is beating and for once, the crew are going to enjoy themselves!

Worf has started to shout risque Klingon drinking songs. The women aren't embarrassed as they are too busy at the bar drinking T'Keth slammers.

La Forge was the first to start, by indulging in the notorious Orio Cocktails, but he's never been partial to drink, and quickly passed out. He's now sleeping under the table.

Beverly has always liked tap dancing, but after a few Bajoran Brandies, she's decided to tap on the table, and has the whole crew in attention until she slips and falls on her backside. Beverly groggily takes herself off to SickBay.

Deanna & I do a slow dance at the end, as she holds a bottle of potent H'Jan in one end. I think she's got other ideas...

Wow! I wonder what the Cap would have said?

Riker, my apologies, but this is for Captain Picard.

Captain Picard, what a delight it was to see you stop by my blog! I was thrilled when you informed me that the Federation has deemed my little site worthy of being required reading.

I know that y'all are quite the movers and shakers of the Starfleet ships and get around to many places. If you ever need to look for new places and civilizations to go to that are just for the fun of it (I know, whoever has the time for a "fun" trip these days?), I hpe you will find a place of enjoyment as you come along on my FFT's. (Friday Field Trips). Each Friday I take the blogsphere to new and exciting places. Some a little quirky but all are fun. And, please, if you have any interesting places that you have visited and would like me to feature on a future FFT, by all means let me know. I will even give you the credit for enlightening the blogsphere of a new civilization and send them your way via a link-com.

Thank you again, kind sir, for visiting my humble site.

Warm regards,
Nicole J. Boedeker

I love these little slice o' life postings of a day on the Enterprise. I find it hard to believe that there are warp core emergencies and smog monster aliens attacking people everyday. Maybe once a week or so, I could see...

Nic, the Enterprise is always delighted to make First Contact and explore new and innovate places. It may come your way sometime.

Turboslut, we in the Enterprise were pleased to be part of your group, as it is the Federation.

Jon, you think we can't have a warp core breach and a smog monster every week? No wonder I get so nervous; it turns me into a wreck.

So, Captan, what did you say when you read Riker's post?
